In I just feel that it is the most natural thing to help another human being who is having difficulties in their lives. The good thing with Bharat India-Aid is that you as a sponsor will get a personal contact with your sponsored child. This can be done via letters or you can do as my mother and I did, joined a special arranged tour to India to meet our sponsored children. 

That was just a fantastic experience, which I hope will turn up again. I strongly recommend other sponsors to take the challenge to visit India and their sponsored child. To be a sponsor makes me so happy.

I’m pleased to tell others how nice I feel to have a small, lovely and poor girl as my own sponsored child. I have with lots of love and pleasure regularly been sending my monthly support to her. I have always known that the support will reach her and be a good help for her. 
 
I have been lucky to meet her in real life a few years back. She was only 5 years old when I started supporting her and now she has become 18 and is just a sweet and beautiful young lady. She has also achieved something in life, thanks that she had the chance to grow up in a nice orphanage, Birdsnest Home where she got a good education and care. Now my little Rathika is grown up and learning new skills which will give her nice job opportunities. We do write to each other regularly in English and she writes so nice to her Mum, that what’s she calls me. I wish she will have a good life and I love her as much as I love my own children and grandchildren.
